Tis’ the season! Holidays are an exciting and loving time in which you relax, unwind, and reward yourself, and your loved ones in any way you see fit. Fashion greatly comes into play with the holidays, with consumers finding new and fresh looks to welcome in the celebrations, while also gifting to others.

Although it’s all cheer, the effects of holiday shopping can be the opposite, with nearly 30 surplus pounds of extra waste per week, per person during the holiday season. This creates a 43% increase of trash produced through the year above average, nearly 1 million extra pounds per week as found by Stanford University in its Holiday Waste Study.
