1How Do I Know Buying On the Platform Is Safe?

At ÀLA.HAUSSE, the safety of your clothes is of utmost priority. All Buyers, Sellers, Renters, and Lenders on the platform must participate in our Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This process ensures we have everyone’s valid identity should issues arise. We also strongly encourage lending users to set a deposit on their item close to the original retail value, so they could be adequately compensated in the case of loss or damages.

2How Are Items Delivered to Me?

It is up to you and the lender to come to a delivery arrangement. This may include using a postal service of yours and your seller and lender’s choice or in-person pickup.

3What Happens if My Item Doesn’t Arrive on time?

You should always check with your seller or lender to ensure there is sufficient time to arrange shipping and drop offs. Please always ask your seller or lender for shipping confirmation to track the shipment if applicable. Please note that items must be bought or rented at least 48 hours prior to when you would like to receive them. 

4What Happens if a Received Rental or Purchase Item Is Significantly Different Than What Was Advertised?

To prevent this, please always ask for live pictures from the seller of the item and check the status before you make a purchase. You should also record the photo of the time of receipt and document the status. If this happens, you must speak to the seller as soon as possible for item return and we will cancel the order for you within 48 hours. 

5How Do I Cancel My Order?

You may press the cancel button on the order management tab or item order page. This cancel option will only be available for 1 hour for both parties after placing an order. 

6Will Items Need To Be Cleaned Upon Arrival?

It is the responsibility of the seller/lender to send the buyer/renter clean and ready to wear items. 

Renting

1How Do I Rent on ÀLA.HAUSSE?
  1. Choose the desired rental period of the item on the calendar. You should communicate with the seller via our in app chat and place your rental request at least 48 hours before you would like to receive the item, to give the lender time to facilitate transportation or manual pick up. 
  2. Once you have placed the rental, arrange how you will receive the item from the lender. That may include shipping (be sure to ask for shipping confirmation details) , drop off, or pick up. 
  3. Receive your item and mark it as received in your order management so the lender knows you have it. Enjoy, look fab for a fraction of the cost, and share with your lenders! 

 

  1. At the end of the rental period, arrange with the lender how you will get their item back to them. That may involve shipping, drop off, or pick up. Be sure to send them shipping confirmation via chat and most importantly mark the item as returned in your order management tab!

 

  1. Once the lender gets their item back in original shape and form, this trade will be marked as complete. Your deposit will then be returned to you within 7 business days. 

 

Please use our in app notification and order escrow management system as your guide to mark each step for a seamless and safe experience. 

2Do I Need to Clean the Item Prior to Returning?

We strongly encourage you to return the item to the lender in the same condition, shape, and form it was received in. Please note that if items have been dirtied or damaged to the point where they cannot be successfully cleaned or repaired, the deposit may be kept by the lender to cover replacement fees.  

3Can I Alter the Item For My Usage?

Any permanent, unauthorized alterations will be considered as damage to the item. This may result in some or all of your deposit being forfeited to cover replacement fees.

4What Happens If My Item Doesn’t Fit?

We strongly advise that fitting details are discussed in depth with your lender prior to making the decision to rent. ÀLA.HAUSSE does not handle returns on your behalf, so it will be solely between you and your lender to negotiate the refund and return details.

5What Happens If My Item Doesn’t Arrive on Time?

This is up to the discretion of the item owner. Please feel free to ask them, and if they accept, they can list the item as available to buy from their in-app profile.
